Recycled Art
For Earth Day, the 3rd Grade Artists used their ingenuity and creativity to make art from recycled materials. I collected my recycling from home for a few weeks ahead of time, and was amazed by what these artists constructed out of plastic soap bottles, pop cans, and cardboard!
After a discussion about construction techniques and the importance of fine craftsmanship, the artists set off to build. Once the infrastructure was complete, paper mache was added to create the final form. The pieces were then painted to bring each artist's vision to life.
