Melted Crayon Art!!!
Who says big kids can't have fun with crayons? My 5th Grade class LOVED this challenge. Each artist had to create an interesting piece depicting movement. Some chose to paint with the melted crayons while others used the dripping wax to create movement.
This project required lots of patience and problem solving skills. After many experiments, the artists and the entire school were very impressed by the final pieces.
I was inspired to create a melted crayon color wheel for the studio. The students love it, and are looking forward to their chance to melt crayons. Here are just a few of the final pieces.
